Welcome to Flickmart! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Flickmart platform, including our website, mobile app, and related services (“Services”), operated by Flickmart Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By accessing or using Flickmart, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and a student or affiliated with a recognized institution to use Flickmart. By using our platform, you confirm that all registration information you provide is truthful and accurate.
2. Overview of Services
Flickmart is a digital student marketplace connecting sellers and buyers through:
- Product listing and promotion tools
- Secure escrow payment systems (via Paystack and Wallet)
- AI-powered visibility tools
- Delivery facilitation and logistics
- Paid advertising options (banners and boosted posts)
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use most services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Fees & Charges
Flickmart applies the following charges:
- Pay-per-post fee for sellers listing products
- AI model subscription for enhanced visibility and market insights
- Transaction charges deducted per completed order
- Delivery charges based on location and logistics provider
- Ad banner fees for promotional placements
All fees are displayed before you are charged and are subject to change with notice.
5. Escrow Protection
To protect buyers and sellers:
- Buyers pay into an escrow wallet managed by Flickmart
- Sellers are paid only after the buyer confirms order satisfaction or after the resolution window lapses
- Disputes are resolved based on proof of delivery, communication, and platform policies
6. User Responsibilities
Users agree to:
- Provide accurate product information
- Ship items promptly (within 48 hours unless stated otherwise)
- Not sell prohibited items (e.g., counterfeit goods, illegal substances)
- Not engage in spam, harassment, or fraudulent behavior
- Respect community guidelines for content and conduct
7. User-Generated Content
Flickmart allows users to post product descriptions, reviews, and promotional content. You retain ownership of your content but grant Flickmart a license to use, reproduce, and distribute it in connection with the platform.
We may remove content that violates our policies or Nigerian laws.
8. Payments and Wallets
- Payments are securely processed via Paystack or your Flickmart wallet
- Wallet balances may be withdrawn or used to shop, subject to identity verification and fraud checks
- We do not store your card or bank details directly
9. Refunds & Disputes
- Buyers may request refunds if orders are not delivered or if items are significantly misrepresented
- Disputes must be raised within 3 days of receiving the product
- Refunds are issued back to the buyer's wallet or original payment method
10. Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
- Attempt to bypass escrow
- Upload harmful software or phishing links
- Impersonate another person
- Use Flickmart for any illegal or harmful purpose
11. Termination
Flickmart may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws. Users may also delete their accounts at any time, though data may be retained for regulatory purposes.
12. Limitation of Liability
Flickmart is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, but we strive to ensure reliability and user satisfaction.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the changes. We’ll notify users via email or app notifications when major changes occur.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria.
